Why I’ll Keep Sharing Ideas, Even When It’s All Been Said
When I’m reading articles, I often catch myself thinking things like:
“This has already been written. Why should I bother adding my voice?”
“They’re saying this important thing and have a much bigger platform than I do.”
“This topic’s been covered. Solved. Maybe even exhausted.”
And just like that, I talk myself out of sharing the things I’ve found.
But here’s what I remind myself: there’s value in curation.
Curation = Relevance
Every week, I spend hours digging into articles, books, podcasts, newsletters, and conversations around coaching, communication, business, and technology. I subscribe to over 300 newsletters. And no, I’m not overwhelmed; I love it.
I love sifting through information, spotting trends, polishing insights, and connecting dots in a way that makes sense. Then, packaging it up and passing it on to you.
Someone once asked me, “What can’t you help doing?” This is it.
One person’s circus, another’s sanctuary
Sometimes forget that not everyone enjoys this. Not everyone has the time, appetite, or patience to wade through endless information streams and pick out what matters.
That’s why curation isn’t about being first or original — it’s about being relevant. It’s about making sense of the noise, giving people what’s useful, timely, and thoughtful.
So I’ll keep sharing.
