Neurodiversity and Craft: Part 1

In recent years there’s been a growing amount of research and understanding around neurodiversity: the variety of ways in which different people’s brains and nervous systems work.

With more and more people getting formerly diagnosed, or at least identifying as neurodivergent in some way, Check Your Thread podcast host Zoe and I thought it would be great to explore what it means to be neurodivergent, and how neurodivergence intersects with craft. Including the role that craft might have in wellbeing for those who think differently.

How does your brain craft?

Zoe is on a mission to help people make more sustainable choices by giving them information, ideas, inspiration and agency. She's also a sewing legend and the creator of the Me Made May wardrobe challenge

In previous podcast episodes, we explored making personal manifestos, self-knowledge, and more.
